Make ups are on the top list of must haves for women. We often do personal research up to when or how long our make ups could last or probably when is the best time to change for the next season. For most, we often worry as to how to keep in clean for sanitary purposes. But we, girls, tend to forgot one very important thing. Our vanity for cosmetics comes along with appropriate make up brushes for better application.Too focus in maintaining our make ups, yet, we forgot how to maintain our brushes and keeping it clean all the time.
Ideally, it's recommended to clean our brushes at least once a week. Yes, once a week, and most of us feels like it's every day. We feel lazy and come up with reasons like we don't have time to really follow such rule especially when most of us really have bunch of it. If you don't feel like following such rules, you may just vary to how often you use it. Just make sure that you really keep it clean. However, if there are irritations on your skin, you might consider to make it often as you can or better yet, daily.
For those who attempts to clean or maintain their brushes and yet, doesn't know how to do it properly, here are some simple steps:
1. Prepare your make up remover. I also prepared a water solution just for better comparison how make up remover really cleans the brushes compared to just cleaning it by using water alone.
By the way I'm using my self-made make up brush remover. This is ideal if you have lots of brushes.
It would bring your pocket huge savings.
2. Dip your brush unto the make up remover. Make sure that the liquid substance doesn't reach the tip of your brushe's hair. Otherwise, will damage your brush easily. Make sure that silver part won't get wet. Refer to the image below:
3. Prepare a dry towel or wet tissue. Rub or slide your brush side ward, from one side to another. Make sure that you do it gently. This is how you will maintain the hair of your brush to stay intact and in good condition.

Going to right. And just repeat until the color of the make up residue fades on the towel or tissue. |
Here's how water differs from make up removers in terms of cleaning the brushes:
4. Air dry your make up brush. Take note on how you properly dry or set your brushes after cleaning. Make sure that you place it on top of a clean dry towel or tissue on a lying position. Or if you have your make up brush cover, place it on a glass and have the brush face down. It's a no-no placing your brush upward. It won't make any difference as to when you dip your brush in the water up to its tip based on instruction #2. By having the tip of the hair brush wet, will damage your brush in no time no matter how good the brand of your brush is. Refer to the images below:
flat lying position
The cover will protect the hair of the brush as you place it facing downward. Just make sure that it doesn't go through the tip as you cover so to avoid damage of the hair brush. |

5. Holla and you're done. Good luck. Hope this quick simple steps would bring you great help. Watch out for my DIY Make up remover. I'll be posting it as soon as I finish my make up remover supplies.
Thank you for taking time to read this post. Till next time. :)
